COMMUNITY OUTREACH: MARK ANDREAS

DIY Windturbine Workshop WITH
BRUNO-TAUT-GRUNDSCHULE BERLIN
and MARK ANDREAS at CHECKPOINT ENERGIE
curated by DSG's Inken Bornholdt

In a unique project between Mark Andreas, Checkpoint Energie der Verbraucherzentrale Energieberatung and kids of Bruno-Taut-Grundschule Berlin a set of wind turbines were made of recycling bike wheels. In a bicycle friendly city, this project builds on Berlin’s excellent example of eco-consciousness alternatives to relying on gas. Students learned about mechanics of wind energy and gained insight into how Germany is leading the global path to clean energy.

Special Thanks to: Birgit Holfert, Cosima Osang & the Checkpoint Energie Team
